Collaborations
The Kröller-Müller Museum collaborates with organisations in the Netherlands and abroad. These collaborations are aimed at promoting and researching the artworks and artists in the collection.
Van Gogh Europe
The Kröller-Müller Museum, the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam and Van Gogh Brabant are the founding partners of Van Gogh Europe, which was established in 2012. A vibrant network of more than 20 partners with heritage sites and museums in the Netherlands, England, Belgium, and France, united by the life, work and legacy of Vincent van Gogh. Together we preserve his heritage, connecting the public with the locations that shaped him.
Van Gogh Worldwide
The digital platform Van Gogh Worldwide is where you will find all reliable art-historical and technical information about the work of Vincent van Gogh.
The RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History, the Van Gogh Museum and the Kröller-Müller Museum are the founding partners of Van Gogh Worldwide. For the platform, we collaborate with museums, private individuals, and research institutions, such as the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands. When all the Dutch works had been added, we were also joined by international collections. The platform is continuously being improved and expanded, with contributions from museums around the world.
Pallas Athene College Ede
Pallas Athene College is a partner school of the Kröller-Müller Museum and De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Together, we ensure that pupils are introduced to art, culture, and the heritage of the local area in an engaging and motivating way. Pupils are invited to contribute ideas to the development of new educational programmes and get a glimpse behind the scenes. And a number of enthusiastic pupils can even become junior tour guides. In this way, they discover how art constantly raises topical questions and allows you to look at things critically and differently: regarding yourself and the world around you.
Museum Murals
The museum is part of the nationwide street art project Museum Murals. Street artists take inspiration from works of art in twenty museum collections and create a mural in the neighbourhood of the museum. On a flat in Ede-Zuid, artist Fred Battle painted a mural inspired by the Kröller-Müller Museum collection. Museum Murals is an initiative of the Mauritshuis and is made possible by participants of the VriendenLoterij.
NewBees
NewBees prepares newcomers, refugees, for a job with a traineeship. The Kröller-Müller Museum is happy to welcome a number of new Gelderland residents to gain experience in our technical department. Newbees also help out at the Zin in Kunst event, where they assist with activities and welcome visitors as hosts. This may enable these newcomers to work at the museum in the future. NewBees organises work safaris, brings talents and companies together and supports the creation of inclusive workplaces for the new Gelderlanders.
NBTC
The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) is the national destination management organization of and for the Netherlands. We work closely with the NBTC through the Art Alliance, a collaboration of fourteen museums to promote art and tourism in the Netherlands. There are currently few major marketing campaigns and sales activities with the NBTC, as the focus has shifted to knowledge and data. We now primarily make use of the information made available by the NBTC.
Vrije Academie
The Vrije Academie offers an extensive programme: from art history to architecture and from philosophy to literature. Its mission is broad: ‘to enrich the lives of people, young and old, by providing education in the fields of art, culture, philosophy, history, and science, in an inspiring and unique way’. The Vrije Academie organises guided tours and lectures at the museum.
Canon of the Netherlands
The museum is part of the national Canon network. This network connects museums and historical sites, which illuminate the Dutch history through artworks and objects. The Kröller-Müller participates with six masterpieces.

Liberation Route Europe Foundation
The museum is a partner of the Liberation Route Europe Foundation (LRE Foundation). This is an international network that keeps the memory of the Second World War alive in Europe. The Kröller-Müller Museum also has a fascinating wartime history. For example, at the beginning of the war a bomb shelter was built to protect the museum’s valuable collection, and the museum functioned as an emergency hospital at the end of the war. Through the Liberation Route Europe and Europe Remembers, those with an interest can now learn all about the unique combination of art, culture, and history.
